More than a week after hackers defaced a government Website, the site of another agency was despoiled early Wednesday, with the offenders claiming to be an Indonesian group.

Visitors to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Website were greeted with an image of the Grim Reaper and a message in Indonesian.

“HACKED BY ANDRIECOM … HACKER-NEWBIE.ORG, Indonesian Hacker-Newbie Community,” the English parts of the messages on the defaced home page read.

Ironically, the message when translated into English called for hope for the New Year.

“This world is full of hope … too many people in the world (wish) for change for the better, but very few people (act) to change things for the better,” went parts of the message when processed through Google’s translation site.

Earlier this month, the Department of Health’s Website was hacked to show DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III blowing on “penises.”

Altered were Duque’s photos on the site’s home page and on a page featuring a DOH press release.

The DOH eventually restored its original photo of Duque blowing on paper horns on its home page, but took down the defaced page.
