One of the things Jake Cuenca is looking forward to in 2010 is his TV series Rubi where he is paired with Angelica Panganiban. “Rubi is something I’m looking forward to. Ang role ko dun is ako si Alejandro, ‘yung great love ni Rubi dun. Tuloy-tuloy kami sa taping and maganda yung pakikisama at relationship namin with the cast and crew. At the same time we’re really excited na eere na so sana at suportahan ng mga tao.”

Rubi is different from all the projects he has done because the story delves into passionate romance. “Iba ‘yung storya namin eh kasi it is a story about seduction, about lust so it is sexy, sadya ['yung story na] maging sexy talaga. Iba yung hotness nung show eh.”

Jake admits that being paired with sexy and beautiful leading ladies is his inspiration to always improve his looks. “Isa sa mga dahilan ko, and of course Precious Hearts. Kita niyo naman maraming maseselan na eksena dun so I just want to be prepared I am paired with Angelica, Roxanne (Guinoo), and Cristine (Reyes), three of the sexiest women in the Philippines. Siguro utang na loob ko na rin sa kanila na mag-work out.”

Meanwhile, Jake will be spending Christmas in the Philippines with his grandparents as his parents are abroad. “Wala naman ako masyado plan, pasasalamat lang talaga ko for Christmas and spend time with my lolo and lola.”

Jake also shares one of his New Year’s resolutions, which he said he has promising to do for years and hasn’t managed to fulfill. “I just want to keep it simple in 2010, cut down expenses like on clothes, etc. And [when it comes to my career,] I just want to continue what I have started in 2009, pagpatuloy ko lang. More than receiving gusto ko lang talaga magpasalamat and ako naman I am living a day at a time e. Ayokong mag-expect. Basta kung anong gagawin ko today, I’ll just give it my best.”
