Survivor Philippines Season 1 Ultimate Survivor JC Tiuseco and actress Maxene Magalona get strapped in Showbiz Central’s most-fun seat: The lie detector.

The two GMA-7 stars have been rumored to be already lovers despite their subtle yet evasive revelations about their real status. JC said in earlier reports that they were already dating; on the other hand, Maxene just says that JC is extra sweet to her.

In Showbiz Central’s segment, “Don’t Lie to Me,” Maxene and JC were connected to separate lie detectors to see if they really are telling the whole truth and nothing but.

Interrogator John “Sweet” Lapus asked the first question: “Nagtanong kami sa iilang staff na nakasama niyo na sa Sana Ngayong Pasko. Totoo ba na tuwing break daw during taping, e madalas kayong nagho-holding hands at nagsosolo sa isang sulok ng inyong set or dressing room? Yes or no?”

Maxene and JC almost at the same time said “No” and what seemed to be a confident answer might’ve fooled people, but it turned out to be a “Lie.”

Maxene explained, “Well, ito kasi sa totoo lang magka-loveteam kami ni JC sa dramarama kaya madalas kami magkasama, pero hindi iyong kaming dalawa lang. Lagi naming kasama sila Ynna Assistio at JC de Vera.”

“Kasi parang imposible [na kaming dalawa lang] kasi ang sikip ng tent namin,” smiled JC. “At maraming tao.”

The next question was about them getting into arguments because JC was supposedly jealous over Patrick Garcia and Maxene’s kissing scenes in the drama Sana Ngayong Pasko.

“No,” JC said.

Maxene grinned and exclaimed, “Yes!”

As JC looked in disbelief, results from their answers gave JC’s answer as a lie. When asked to explain himself, he said, “Hindi ako nagseselos kasi friends kami lahat, e. Pati si Pat, friend ko!”

“Ako may sagot ako,” laughed Maxene. “Nagseselos si JC kasi sabi niya na siya naman daw kasi ang ka-loveteam ko so bakit may kissing scenes ako sa iba. Iyon lang naman, so nothing romantic!”

The last and most difficult question: “Magsyota na ba kayo?”

Both paused for a moment before answering “No” with a smile to each other. The way the two of them answered looked convincing enough for even the machine to agree to what they said.

“Lie.”

After the cheers from the studio died down, Maxene clarified, “Although nagsabi ako ng totoo, binilisan ko heartbeat ko kasi gusto ko makita sila [dancers] sumayaw! Siguro nga kaya maraming tsismis because loveteam kami at ngayon ko lang na experience na lahat sinasabi na bagay daw kami ni JC kaya I guess doon nangagaling ang tsismis.”

When urged by John to just court Maxene, JC said, “Mahirap kasi nga magkatrabaho kami, di ba, so paano kung hindi mag-work out? Siyempre, awkward, e. Madali iyong magkabarkada lang kayo sa trabaho.”
