Angel Locsin admitted that she is not totally over her breakup from Luis Manzano just yet. This was also the reason why she said that she’s not ready to be in another relationship for now. “Sa ngayon kasi ayoko munang may love. Ngayon nagsa-start uli kaming mag-usap ni Luis, so ayokong magpaasa, ayoko namang sabay-sabay may dini-date,” Angel shared.

Angel also confirmed that she and Luis have started communicating again and that Luis intends to “rebuild” their relationship. “Si Luis gustong ayusin.” When ABS-CBN.com asked the actress if Luis meant fixing the friendship or romantic relationship, Angel responded, “Siya (Luis) na lang ang magsalita. Basta ‘yun ang sinabi sa akin, ganon.”

She had also told Efren Peñaflorida that they could only be friends for the mean time, after the latter expressed his intention to court her. “Nahirapan akong mag-explain kasi hindi naman ako sanay mag-explain at hindi ko rin alam kung naiintindihan niya kasi never pa naman siya nagkaroon ng girlfriend,” she said. But Angel admitted that she was impressed when the 28-year-old recipient of the CNN Hero of the Year award visited the actress’s home and talked to her father about his intentions. “Ina-admire ko siya, antaas ng respeto ko sa kanya. Nakaka-flatter naman. Mas nauna pa niyang kausapin ‘yung daddy ko. Sobrang na-touch ako kasi respeto sa tatay ko ‘yun, eh. Pero okay lang na magkaibigan kami.”

Angel said that she prefers that Efren get to know her better before trying to pursue a relationship with her. “Parang tinanong ko lang kung sigurado siya. Mas mabuti kung magkakilala muna kami at kilalanin niya muna ako para if ever may makita siyang hindi maganda sa akin okay lang kung mag-back out siya ‘di ba? ‘Yung ganun. Yun ang sinasabi ko sa kanya.”

She also warned Efren about the complexities of showbiz and explained to him the possibility of his reputation being tainted if he gets involved with a showbiz personality like her. “Ayaw kong masira ‘yung hope [na ibinibigay mo sa tao]. Instrumento ka [Efren] kaya marami kang nai-inspire na mga tao na gumawa ng mabuti, tumulong sa kapwa, magbagong buhay at ayaw kong ma-pollute ‘yon dahil may mga intrigang galing showbiz,” related Angel related.

The actress said that this 2010, she wants to move on from her past relationship. “Kasi antagal na rin. Ilang months ago na rin and mas importante sa akin okay ‘yung relationship ko sa dalawa (Luis and Efren), lalo na si Luis [kasi] iba ‘yung pinagsamahan namin,” Angel said.
