Derek Ramsay just laughed when he was told about the tabloid rumors saying that he was having an affair with Jinkee Pacquiao, the wife of international boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, and was supposedly constantly exchanging sweet text messages with her. “We’re not texting each other constantly. But we do text. She was very nice to show me around when I went to GenSan. May mga kasama ako including my handler. Wala si Manny that day. Jinkee toured us pati sa isang lumang bahay. Inimbitahan din niya kami sa bahay nila. I got to meet the kids. After that I went home. Wala namang ibang ibig sabihin ‘yun.”

The star of the teleserye Habang May Buhay said that he is just friends with Jinkee whom he described as a very accommodating lady and that he has so much respect for the couple. “Jinkee is such a nice person that’s why, I would like to think, we have become friends. Kami naman ni Manny nagkatrabaho kami sa isang commercial. I’m also a big fan. There’s no issue between me and Jinkee. Nung magkita kami ang daming tao so bakit kami magaastang sweet. Ako naman I was taught by my family to respect women. She’s very dedicated to her family so I know she would not do anything to mess up everything.”

When rumors further stated that he and Jinkee were holding hands during his visit to GenSan, Derek just laughed and replied, “That’s a lie. I can tell you directly na hindi kami nag-holding hands. I just laughed when I heard the issue na may relasyon kami ni Jinkee kasi alam kong hindi totoo. I texted her and I said sorry na may ganitong chismis. She said wala naman sa kanya ‘yun.”

The moreno actor-model is happy with relationship with actress Angelica Panganiban which has been going on for three years now. However, there have also been past intrigues that the two have had fights due to Derek’s alleged womanizing ways. Recently he was seen watching a football game with a non-showbiz woman, whom Derek said was just a good friend. “Friend ko lang ‘yun. She offered me tickets to the football game of Ateneo versus UE. Magkasama kami nanood, me being a big football fan. For sure ang daming nakakakita sa amin, maraming camera, and I didn’t think anything of us watching the game together. Kilala siya ni Angelica. Kung may itinatago kami ‘di sana hindi na kami lumabas in public.”
