sam-milby-anne-curtisHoly Week is still a busy time for Anne Curtis and Sam Milby, who admitted that they will still be working during the long holiday. Anne said that she won’t be having a vacation abroad this Holy Week or even this entire summer since she is a host for the daily morning program, Showtime. “Kailangan naka-base ako dito kasi daily (ang show) and syempre ‘yun ‘yung lahat ng mga bata nakabakasyon so maraming sasali so excited kaming lahat, so ibang crowd naman ang dadating sa Showtime,” she said.

Sam on the other hand will be out of the country for two weeks to do the annual Heartthrobs concert. “’Pag Holy Week laging may Heartthrobs tour, eto ‘yung fifth year yata,” he said. The actor said that because of this yearly commitment, he does not get to experience Holy Week in the country. Together with him in the Heartthrobs concert are Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Pokwang, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson and Richard Poon.

Even before the Holy Week, Anne and Sam have rigidly promoted their movie Babe, I Love You, which opens in cinemas this Holy Week, Black Saturday, April 3.

Being their first movie together, the two explained why this movie has become an unforgettable movie for them. The former showbiz couple said that the film’s story is very much like their own love story, and many events in the film have coincided with real life experiences. The two also revealed that on many occasions, they were required to do scenes arguing when they really are not in good terms in those specific moments.

Anne said that she will always cherish her promo girl role in the film. “First time kong magiging promo girl. ‘Dun pa lang angatake noon is different kasi hindi ko naman alam ang buhay ng isang promo girl,” she said. “I’m lucky enough sa immersion para malaman kung paano ang buhay ng promo girl, so it was a fun role to tackle.”

Sam portrays a strict teacher, who is really smart but aloof toward other people. He said that he is very proud to do action scenes here, which he has never done before both in any movie or TV project. “Sobrang proud ako,” he said.
