I hardly made it to manila and we already attended a rediculous tv show. So annoying!!! These people want to touch you and be with you all the time!! I can’t understand a word they say. I can’t wait to go back home. This country is so dirty and noisy. I’m scared to eat!!! What a mess. On a lighter note I don’t see any real competition. Will keep you updated my loves
To you Nicole Lynn, we should have not accepted you here in Philippines if we only knew from the very beggining you are gonna say those words, we don’t need you here anyway! You even look like a sl*t!

I know that what she did is very wrong, I am very insulted and disgusted with her attitude but threatening and bashing her? You could have been defensive without going too low. Yes, you are furious but be professional and keep in mind that this blog carries the name of the whole nation. It pops out whenever you search it. What would other foreigners (future and potential visitors who may fall in love with our country) read this? When using the Philippines’ name, be responsible with what you say. You don’t want to prove negative comments about the country true, so act the way you want to be respected.
nicole, why in the world did you exist and join a pageant. It was a waste of money and energy to put you there with an awkward character. Besides, judges were right to put you where you are….a loser.You are undeserving to be Miss earth because Earth is not for you…but hell.

What makes you any better? You stooped way, way lower than her level by calling her names and you even threatened her. Now that’s cyber bullying.
To be fair, Miss Earth USA was correct. Manila really is dirty. Unclean, even I (a proud Filipino) shutter at sight of the supposedly the center of the country. It is dirty, unsanitary and even refuse to eat food there. You are just offend that she pointed it out. You should think of it as a constructive criticism and not reprimand her for stating her mind. she is not the first to voice out her thought. we just refuse to act. Instead of erasing her word, it should make it to every corner of the Metro-from the most opulent areas to the slums of Manila.
As for the TV show, seriously? You to think that Will Revillame would behave nothing but his own repulsive little self with so many beautiful women? Sad she was not exposed to the beauty of Philippines, far beyond the borders of Metro Manila.

I understand her to a point .. Firstly the Philippines is a wonderful place and what a shame she could not get to understand it.The issue that Filipino’s do not understand is in Western World we are not allowed to touch anybody at all ..
If we do we are arrested and in court. The living conditions are a little more different in most western society so even though she was a dumb twot for speaking her words and not thinking it through

If you want to be Miss Earth, you must know what it means because if not you will never win and will always be called LOSER. Your explanation wherein you’re reading it or whatever is really not convincing…learn how to respect other nationalities..;) true or not, you need to be openminded if you don’t want to be criticized. Just in case you didn’t know, we also have a corrupt government, an uneducated majority, and a badly managed economy. What do you expect from a government run by gangsters, actors, and boxers? You get what you vote for.
What she said is true in certains areas of your country, it’s quite a bit different than what you find in the majority of the USA. Taking something out of context and blowing it out of proportion is what the press and people that want to make a name for themselves slamming other people. So, if you want to hold yourself in higher regard than her, don’t make comments like this, makes it look like you’re the idiot.
It’s true, she was on a rediculous T.V. show in your country, they also have them in the USA too. However, she did make an error in regards to the whole country being dirty and noisy, not all of it is. If you get offended over a general statement such as this, perhaps you should look at why it offends you. There are a lot of reasons to be offended but that is not one of them, that’s a non event. A beauty queen shouldn’t get your underware in a bunch like it has.
When she said this, “These people want to touch you and be with you all the time!!”, some people in the USA despite being models in the spotlight are actually very private people off stage. Of course the language barrier didn’t help things, for that I will put blame on her for not learning your language before she came to your country.
When you made this statement, “You even look like a sl*t!”, that’s just not classy in the least. Besides, not all sluts are well, obvious. The fact is, in a personal photo if you don’t actually know the reason for it nor were you present at the time of the photo, how can you make an accurate statement of what really is?
You’ve just made an assumption to bash someone for stating how they saw or experienced something.
Some people will have a great time in your country, others will not. If you choose to slam the ones that didn’t, don’t be surprised if someone puts you in your place (like right now) for talking crap about someone’s character.
So, you don’t want people to tell the truth on the Internet about your country and you would rather have them lie about their experiences, I take it? If they speak from the heart and what they truly experienced and you don’t want to hear or see it because it’s too painful for you to bear perhaps you should be the one to stop being so FAKE!
You can be patriotic and love your country but come on, to get offended over what someone said from their point of view? If you have to blog about it, that shows you have an axe to grind with someone that is insignificant, as a form of revenge. If people read this, what you’ve posted from the USA and other countries, they may get the idea you folks are not all that friendly.

I know the customs and languages. It however is quite rare to see someone shoot their mouth off on a blog about someone else’s opinion for someone that doesn’t really matter. Now, if this were a foreign dignitary, I can see you getting all uptight about it.
Just remember this, if you are representing your country or think you are, show some class and don’t use the blog as a way to axe grind with people, it’s not professional and doesn’t look too good from a foreigner’s stand point. Stick with the facts and keep the petty talk out of it. There is a difference between gossip page and a blog.

Hope we filipinos would ascend to a level that we may understand from Miss Earth’s negative publicity about our beloved country. It’s unfortunate that Nicole Lynn have some bad experience during her stay. I hope she recovers her image for ridiculing our culture that she knows nothing of.
To be honest, i too as a filipino, after getting back from a wk vacation from hk/macau, will truly say how corrupt our country is. Im culture shocked @ how dirty our country, as well as, how dark it is esp. At night. We should see where our taxes go. Even at the train stations, see escalators are not working, some are soo broken. In hk, it’s soo organized and well lit and Very clean. We can be truly proud of our friendly people and natural resources but we dont know how to enhance it or give more beauty to it. In other countries, like singapore, they have manmade tourists spots but they maximize every single thing they’ve got. Me too, as a prev. College student in manila, dont like how it smelled, dirty or polluted as a city it is. I dont like also eating street foods for it might not be safe. Lets give her d benefit of the doubt. She just spoke her mind.. And yes ive heard that before, from my cousin who’s also from the states. Sometimes she dont like it when people touch u even your hair. I guess we just appreciate beauty just like that.
Not all negative comments have to be taken negatively. Optimistic people look at it as constructive criticism.
We Filipinos never learned our lesson. In history, there were a number of international celebs (not to mention Claire Danes) who have said negative things about the city but we never did anything at all to improve our general condition.
Manila being the capital city is a representation of the image of the whole country — socially, economically, politically.
As for her statements, those were all true. They attended a noontime show that made fun of the candidates. We cant oppose her statement “This country is so dirty and noisy”. Who says it’s NOT anyway?
Most likely, affected people will put her on a “persona-non-grata” status. Eh ano naman? Tingin nyo may intention pa syang bumalik sa Pinas with all these conditions?
We better start accepting who we really are and start thanking the people for being honestly telling these things to our faces. We can not improve if we are not open about someone else’s opinions.
Regardless if it was a hacker’s opinion or her own, it is something that we have to reflect on.
Being crowned as “MISS EARTH” bares a lot of responsibilities that even includes how you speak, act or address to the public and it is merely not appropriate to lambast a country in general.You may had experienced or observed some bad things but you should not disgust all people or the whole country. It’s good for you to see a country where others consider it as a 3rd world in their view, how it looks like and in such a way for you to do something to at least help but not to ridicule them. What if you as “Miss Earth” visits a country that has a lot of natives or visits the villages of natives what would you say to them? You might disgust them as well. Maybe the filipinos stays with you all the time that because we are very hospitable people and we always wanted to make sure that our visitor is well accommodated and safe you just misunderstood it. You as Miss earth next time you criticize a certain race or country do be responsible enough not to lambast or ridicule them but instead say it in a nice way for them to do something to improve. You should consider one of your responsibility as an AMBASSADOR OF GOOD WILL and a Role Model.I think when people wants to touch you but not in the private part it’s natural for them to do that because even in the other countries on in the US itself when they see a celebrity or a crowned candidate in the public people really wants to hold you and hug you sometimes so don’t pretend that you don’t know this things.I’m also wondering that you criticized the food that we have in the Philippines. Why, Where you not accommodated in a nice and luxurious hotel and dine in a fine dining resto? I don’t think so. Where you eating in a messy place that you even said you would not want to eat? Next time you visit a country as MISS EARTH (ambassador of GOOD WILL) you should first learn their culture, language and tradition and be educated enough before you proceed to your visit. I agree with “an observant person”…instead of bashing the girl, Filipinos should take it as a constructive criticism. The Western world is so different with this touchy-touchy thing. I have to say, the Filipino people are the nicest I have ever met, I go there every year for my vacation. They are more giving than anyone I know. You should understand their culture and not criticize it. I love every minute I spend with them and the family I stay with. Yes its has many poor people, so what, we have them in the U.S. as well. They are warm kind and loving and i would rather have them in my life that a spoiled selfish little title seeker that is only in it for herself. I can’t believe you would post such insulting words about a people that is true hearted and caring as the Filipino people.
